My eyelids are heavy
slowly beginning to droop.
They feel like
dumbbells;
my eyelids
are curling these weights.
They try to stay open,
but the weights
are winning.
10lb. weights are getting
heavier,
and h e a v i e r,
a n d h e a v i e r.
Soon,
my eyelids will
drop this burden,
and I will
sleep.
